Spenge. Wilhelm Modersohn GmbH & Co. KG, manufacturer of Stainless steel fasteners, is currently optimising its customer service in the area of industrial component production. To this end, the expert for facade fixings and custom-made products has invested around 1.5 million euros in this area of its production since the beginning of the year.
In addition to two new press brakes with press forces of 850 kN and 2,300 kN, respectively, a 8-kW fibre laser with state-of-the-art process technology and a high level of productivity and quality has recently strengthened the production.
With this, the previous machines of the laser department have been replaced by devices of the latest generation in the last two years. The Spenger specialist processor for Stainless steel and Lean Duplex steel now has a 10 kW and an 8 kW laser; the acquisition of a further laser system is currently being planned.
"The new Trumpf machines were primarily purchased to support our NiroFix department, which covers the area of industrial components and customised products," explains company owner Wilhelm Modersohn. "Thanks to the high-precision technology, we can once again improve our quality in this manufacturing segment and thus guarantee our customers an even faster, better service."
Especially the so-called "K-line", the 48-hour express service for the production of simple profiles and sheet metal constructions, which MODERSOHN has been offering since the beginning of this year, will benefit from the additions to the machine park.
Five additional stud welders were also purchased to expand the range of services.
MODERSOHN is thus further expanding its customer service and quality management and, also thanks to the support of several new testing devices for material identification and for shape and dimensional accuracy, is continuing its product and service offensive in the interest of the best delivery and quality guarantees.
