On Tuesday, 25 January 2022, we were pleased to have visitors:
14 pupils from the Regenbogen Comprehensive School in Spenge, together with their teacher, complemented their lesson content with practical impressions during a company visit.
The 10th grade technology course had been working on the topic of CAD programmes for the last few months under the guidance of its teacher B. Wenske. In the process, the pupils developed their own products, such as pen stands for the desk, money boxes or mobile phone holders. These were cut out of cardboard on the school's own laser cutters and refined during the lessons.
The final DXF data was then sent to our work preparation department, which checked it and prepared it for further processing.
On Tuesday morning, the technology course finally made its way to Industriestraße.
Adhering to the Corona rules, their participants were initially informed about the tasks and requirements of a construction mechanic by means of a company video.
A short tour of the factory followed, during which the individual production areas and work steps were explained.
The last station, as a crowning finale, was the laser, where the students' designs were already waiting to be realised. The members of the technology course watched excitedly as the individual components were lasered out of the sheet metal and were then able to take them back to the school for further processing.
We think this was a great joint action and a super idea to make the lessons more practice-oriented.
We would be very happy about further joint projects.
