Arc welding process in the field of joining technology, in which a current flows via contact between the workpiece and the component to be welded on by means of a lift or tip ignition process, which heats up the contact surface through the material resistance to such an extent that the steel or metal surfaces fuse together.
At MODERSOHN , shear studs are usually applied to anchor plates using the drawn arc method and smaller threaded ends to system components using the tip ignition method. The advantage of this welding process is a low heat input in the workpiece and a high economic production speed.
