The term reinforcement technology refers to a branch of industry with the task of stabilising concrete and masonry and of transferring and diverting forces. As a rule, profile steel is inserted for this purpose during the production of concrete and masonry structures. This is a general description of the typical reinforcement technology.
MODERSOHN uses stainless steel for a whole range of niche applications in this area. In addition to the typical reinforcing ribbed steel made of A4 or D4 (Lean Duplex Steel), MODERSOHN has been supplying the universal masonry reinforcement MOSO® perforated strip for years. It is not only used for the simple reduction of cracks in masonry, but is also generally used for the lintel support of windows and door lintels in facing masonry; i.e. with the MOSO® perforated strip, force is also deflected into the lateral supporting masonry.
