The MODERSOHN company supplies recess bodies for in-situ concrete or precast concrete parts, most frequently as plastic sleeves in round or oval shape, with one end closed, to accommodate guiding and pinching mandrels made of round steel. In addition, there are foam or PE or PS foam elements which are poured into the concrete and later scraped out.
The recess bodies can also be made of stainless steel or normal steel (galvanised, primed), as the term also includes so-called lost formwork elements.
Another area of recess bodies are pipe or cable ducts, for which openings or channels are cut out in concrete construction with the aid of pipe segments or frame constructions.
