Mortar anchor is another term for the bonded anchors, which is mainly used for load-bearing and retaining anchors in the natural stone fixing sector. The fixing systems made of wire, round steel, threaded rods or tube are fixed in round holes with mortar. For heavy loads, larger components are also used in load-bearing masonry walls with special mortar. E.g. for facade renovations. For this reason, single-layer mortar anchors are less to be assigned to the universal anchor systems, but rather to the special systems and custom-made products for very specific applications.
