In 2002, Wilhelm Modersohn became aware of the SAF2304 (1.4362) material through Avesta in Sweden. In 2003 Modersohn introduced the first Lean Duplex steel for system products in the German market for fastening systems.

As an independent representative of fastening systems from the company Lutz from Wertheim, Wilhelm Modersohn sen. had recognised early on that there was a great demand in the market for fastenings in the area of masonry facades. In March 1970, he and two employees founded the company, which today has over 140 employees.

Project description
The building contractor for the "Ecumenical Forum Bridge" project in Hamburg's Hafencity was Güstrower Klinkerbau from Güstrow (2011).
The ecumenical forum serves as a meeting place for a total of 18 Christian churches. Among other things, this joint project, which is unique in Germany, will also provide its members with living space for residential or house communities spread over 4,600 sqm GFA. The façade design of the ecumenical forum in Shanghaiallee impresses visually with a tasteful design, which is cleverly interwoven with Christian symbols.
For this project, MODERSOHN supplied, among other things, masonry supports and prefabricated fasteners, single and angle bracket anchors, the angle supports, horizontal connections as well as special profile designs.
